Nifty Places to Visit

That’s so awesome
Hi Jane! Guess what? CJ says you are having just a terrible day–do you guys read each other’s blogs? I know you do–at some point. Anyway, she suggested perhaps some lovely cheerful commentary would help. I am here to oblige.
Jane Fancher is the most awesome!!! Back off big cruel world!
Artist recovering from hard work.
Its still chilly here and I always find myself remembering the warmer places this time of the year.
Have you guys ever taken a cruise to the South Pacific? Try and imagine it… formal tea time while out on the gentle sea, surrounded by lovely young men in white gloves, a sterling silver tea service…. the breathtaking views of Bora Bora…Moorea–God, the most beautiful place….
Well it’s not the Caribbean and Captain Jack Sparrow, granted that, but very relaxing in a different way. I hope someday you guys can compare them for yourselves. Until then use that imagination of yours for a virtual getaway
Feel better
Oooo….cabana boys. white gloves. Yummy!
I’m doing all right. Just had a melt down this morning after yet another round of critiques on the site, and a weekend of major input on what we should be doing re the whole self-pub stuff that needs looking into. Poor Carolyn is always in the direct line of fire.
I guess I just don’t understand why every site needs to look alike. Almost everything people have asked for already existed. I couldn’t believe the one guy that claimed the only link to the store was on the splash page. What does he think those tabs across the top are? Not to mention the pages/navigation links on the side?!?
But I’m raising my blood pressure again….
Thanks, sweetie
I’d like to thank you for all the hard work you’ve put into Closed Circle.
Web design’s difficult enough on its own and then one gets all the different people having different (contrary) tastes and ideas how a web page should look like.
I think you have done quite well on the page so far.
Hard work deserves rest and entertainment, I hope you’ll enjoy the upcoming Olympic figure skating competitions.
Hey Jane! Janice and I still talk about the first Shejicon when we went up to meet you and CJ. She says “Hi.”
Hope to see you at the 3rd shejicon.
Oh, goodie! You’re coming?
We’re hoping to make it. Nyssa is going to Calgary this spring and that may change our plans. But we hope to make it up there.
YAY!
I think the site is fine, very functional. I’ve managed to buy a few things :D with which I am very pleased. so that should be good enough for everyone. Don’t you think? These comments feed into your self confessed perfectionism, don’t they. I say, ignore them from now on and do what you ought to be doing! writing, writing writing!
I bought Ring of Lightning the day you put it up, but have since found myself swamped at work and busier than a one-armed dwarf at a wall-paper hanging contest. I promise to set aside reading time this coming week, while I’m traveling for work. I had hoped to make it to Condor to see you and CJ (and celebrate my 57th) but the boss needs me to travel to the West Coast and then brief him on my doings on the 26th then head for the East Coast on the 28th. I may have time to change the contents of my suitcase, submit my travel receipts, and write a trip report on Saturday, but that’s about it. In the meantime, please, please have the next Ring book ready by the time I finish this one…. (Forget about the oblivious fools who WANT, WANT, WANT their own way, and instead pander to your sincere fans who WANT, WANT, WANT to buy your books.)
Tee hee. Yes, ma’am! (Snapping to attention.)
Site design is, at its heart, a matter of personal style.
Yes, your site is colorful and pic-happy, but it’s YOU, and Carolyn and Lynn, and your loyal readers know that and love it!
Pay no heed to style complaints unless you genuinely WANT to look like all those clone slick-text-mod sites.
There’s a line in every person’s mind between unique and godawful kitsch, and you haven’t crossed mine by any means! Keep up the excellent work!
