Hmmm…rereading, it didn’t end up the way I thought it would when I began writing…because I seriously wanted to fling that sucker at the wall! Only the image of it rebounding and knocking me cold stopped me. One really doesn’t want to die stupid! :D

I have a combo toaster/toaster oven (BAD IDEA, but good in theory) which I have yet to be able to open for cleaning!
Like katoji I was expecting flying debris etc. Happy to hear that house and residents are all intact.

Oh Jane! Shame on you for that chain yank of a title!! I was waiting the whole post–with a terrible sense of dread, mind you—- to get to the part where you forgot to unplug the dang thing and got the shock of your life!

Oops. Sorry about that. I tried to toast those skinny buns for peanut butter and one of them dropped into the bottom. I tried a knife to get it out. No joy.

I tried cutting it apart with said knife and trying to lever the pieces out.

I tried shaking I tried hunting down a pull-tray (the next toaster we get will have a nice prominent one!)

I finally decided several uses would reduce it to crumbly ash so a knife could get it out.

It didn’t work. It’s had a very durable existence down there. I have, however, declined to put more skinny buns into it.
