Tho you wouldn’t know it to look at it, except the index is a little bit smaller, and the background now fades much more prettily on the main CC site theme. But the files are much smaller and load much faster. I’ve been meaning to do this and got reminded by one of our wonderful guests. Sorry. Didn’t mean to make you sit for an hour while the single page downloaded. Anyway, next time you visit the store, refresh your screens and you should get the new images in your caches.

Before setting up your account…
Logging into this blog gives you access to the Pub, a members only page that contains various goodies like links not found else where, a listing of all registered members and a members-only forum to discuss things you prefer to keep among a known group of people. You can also upload up to 10 images, one of which (your choice) will become your avatar for this site. Gravatars: s/b working, but for some reason, they aren't, so I'm using the little Captain Morgan default icon for those who have no other avatar. Please login and join the fun!WWWWH

Yes, much quicker, even on broadband. Also, it now works the way JPG files should: starting with the low-fidelity version of the information and then filling in with the higher fidelity as it loads.
The JPG standard is great in storing the information in an image in frequencies just like a spectrum of an audio sound bite is done (like the visualizations in Windoze Media Player for example). So, by streaming the data that make up the picture from low frequency to high frequency, you can start with a blocky image that and then the blocks gradually get smaller as the higher frequency data arrives.
OK, now back to work with you.

OK, assume there are little html geek on and geek off tags surrounding the second paragraph above. Apparently wordpress, or maybe my browser, interprets those as html and ignores them rather than displaying them :) Now how else am I supposed to poke fun at myself.
