I’m very sorry if I zapped legitimate members, but I’m trying to clean up the ranks. Considering the problems I’ve been having, I’d say it’s about time, no? Anyway, I’m going after “suspicious” emails and user names, but suspicious is sort of in the eye of the beholder, no? so if I take you out by mistake, please understand, it’s nothing personal, just a desperate attempt to clean up the site. (Sort of like closing the gate after the horses are out, isn’t it? Ah, well. Anyway, sorry for any inconvenience this causes.

Nifty Places to Visit

Hey, I can read the blog and my account isn’t zapped. That’s close enough for jazz…
I have to admit, I hate the detailed crap. Not in the design of things (like code) but in the implementation. Abstract details are fun, but the concrete details are best left with someone who doesn’t mind cutting and pasting field names over and over for an hour
Give me the big picture stuff instead. Let me design a whole system starting with the very first use case! OK, enough of me.
So, get rested so you’re in shape to watch Nationals. Spend some more time on your own writing, past and present. I think your blog can live at #26 on the list for a little while. You’ve earned a break.
OK, is there any way to add anything else without sounding completely patronizing?
- S
I don’t think it sounded patronizing, Sandor, just concerned, like the rest of us.
Jane, rest up, woman!
I love you guys…
Guess I won’t redesign the con-flyer, then…
Yawn…
“and now to sleep, perchance to dream”
I logged on with no problem.
Sandor is right this is #26……please stay healthy…..rest
((hugs)) Sometimes ya just gotta do what you have to do.
Wishing you a nice cup of tea.
Woo Hoo! The new theme is really pretty – a rainbow meteor shower! And I’m still here! I even changed my password – I think… maybe I just changed it to what it was before…?
Ah, um, er, not to bother you about this, really, just puzzled, y’know – what happened to all the pictures? Did I miss a post explaining them?
Enjoy the skating!
Ummm…what pictures? I’ve posted lots of pictures. Did some disappear? Now I’m puzzled! :D
Oh, wait…do you mean the avatars? I’m puzzled about that, too. Part of them went bye bye…I think when I updated the user plugin. but that was right before I started working on the CC site and I just haven’t had time to pursue it. I will. I promise.
No, not the avatars…
…the pictures, the ones I used to see but have now (I just realized)
rolled off the “first” page.
As Emily Litella would say, “Never mind.”
As long as I can see your photos on the main part, I’m happy. I didn’t put anything of earth shattering importance in the Pub.
I am looking forward to either of you writing about Nationals and how they effect the rink, etc.
One problem with your flyer. The web site needs to be larger. Especially for posting on the walls of a college campus. People won’t be taking the flyer with them, and they will have to be able to see and copy it quickly. Those bulletin boards end up being multi-layered. Few people go back and remove flyers from events that are past.
Weeding out the ‘bots is a distinctly human activity. Funny, that people take the time to hand-register their ‘bots….
Now I’m frustrated! I was trying to upload a more current photo of the kitten to my gallery and it never uploads. I deleted an old one just to make space. I even reduced a copy of the photo to 598K so it wouldn’t be too large.
I don’t know what’s going on with my upload capability. I’m having problems, too. I’m running into several ghosty problems I believe are related to the hack. We’re working on a way to reconstitute the blogs, so I’m just on hold right now. Sorry.
